The quarry is open again, now called the AGS Rockwall and on January the 26th a fundraising boulder comp was held at Extreme Edge, Panmure. The comp consisted off 30 odd boulder problems worth varying points based on the difficultly and two hours to complete as many as possible. I ended up with three problems I couldn't complete, one in the UV cave that was crazy hard, a real reachy problem that i kept peeling off on the last hold and a real staunch slopey problem that Zane managed to get with only one minute remaining meaning I ended up with second.If you are interested in climbing at the quarry you now have to be registered, (register here: http://www.aucklandclimber.org.nz/quarry.html) when you register you will receive a tag which must be worn while climbing at the quarry.
